deleted all three toolbar layouts with the Browser Extension
Manager, but they haven't been rebuilt.
Deleting
the default Explorer Bars doesn't remove them from my system.
The
"Searching" page doesn't display all the Search

I
get an "Error 5" or "Invalid Key" error
message when the program launches, and many screens are blank.
This was a problem in the initial
releases. Download and install the latest
version to fix it. Back
Why
isn't there any help?
There is! Press [F1] on any Browser
Extension Manager screen to find out what it has to say. Anyone
using the original version of the program may have trouble
browsing the Help file, but this has now been sorted out --
download the latest version to
resolve the problem. Back.
The "Backup"
and "Restore" Registry Settings options don't work.
Make sure you have a copy of REGEDIT.EXE available
on your PC; the Browser Extension Manager uses this to make
a copy of the Internet Explorer Registry settings. Back
I
want to disable a particular ActiveX control, but it's not
displayed on the list.
The Browser Extension Manager only displays ActiveX Controls
that are installed on your system, and correctly registered
in the Registry. If you're sure your control is correctly
installed and should be on the list, email us at support@nuetools.co.uk
with more information. Back
I
can't enable a particular ActiveX control.
The Browser Extension Manager only lets you enable controls
that it has itself disabled. This is to prevent someone from
accidentally enabling a control that has been turned off by
a Windows or other security update, introducing a potential
security hole onto your PC. Back
I've
deleted all three toolbar layouts with the Browser Extension
Manager, but they haven't been rebuilt.
The toolbar layouts will be rebuilt when Windows needs to
do so. No need to worry - it's entirely happy without them.

Deleting
the default Explorer Bars doesn't remove them from my system.
This is the way Internet Explorer works; not sure why, though
on balance it's probably a good thing. If you find Browser
Extension Manager doesn't remove an add-on Explorer Bar, then
tell us more at support@nuetools.co.uk. Back
The
"Searching" page doesn't display all the Search
URLs present on my system.
This is a known deficiency with the Browser Extension Manager;
it's possible to have multiple search prefixes defined, but
we only address one at the moment. This issue will be fixed
in a future release. Back |
